Happy Birthday Sharon...

MY LITTLE SISTER
I Don't know where to start, because I don't know when there will be an end.

Almost all of my life we've had each other.

We've laughed together, Cried together, Yelled at each other, And lied to each other.

But there is another thing, too. I'm not so blind to see, How much you are like me.

In my heart I know that everything I do, Will somehow have an effect on you.

I try so hard to always set a good example, But I know in the past I have given you bad samples.

Life isn't easy, And when it's not, I wanna be there to guide your way with you.

When I'm torn between choices, I always wonder how each one might effect you today.

I know there've been times when maybe I did the wrong thing, But now I can really see just how careful I need to be.

You'll make mistakes, Take the wrong road instead of the right, But don't ever let people tear you down, Always put up a fight.

Most of all I want you to know, That no matter where I am, What I'm doing, Or who I'm with, If you are in trouble in life, I'll drop everything, and be there in seconds to give you my advice.

I want to say I will end this message with something special,But it would be a lie, Because there will never be an end,

What we have together will never die.

Baby Shower!!!

I threw a baby shower for my sister in law and my brother at my house last Saturday. Of course, I had it all set up to be outdoors and then right when it started, it began pouring so we all had to move into our basement. As soon as we got all settled into the basement, it cleared up and the sun came out. Figures, huh?

This is Cassie and Josh opening presents. They seemed to really enjoy everything they received. This is the first child for both of them and they are very excited about it. It kind of sucks though, because they live about five or so hours away and can't afford to come home much so we will have to keep up to date with lots of pictures. They are having a boy and his name will be Nolan.
Cassie is pretty big according to her doctor. She is not due till mid-late August but the doctor won't be surprised to see her sooner since the baby seems to be a nice size already.
After the shower some of the family stuck around so we got out Jerzie's pool and let all the kids go swimming in their undies. Its really fun to watch them play the way we did when we were younger. Its almost like Deja Vu, lol.
This is Jerzie and Cassie's niece Aylah. Aylah was born six days after Jerzie. Don't they look so cute? Jerzie wasn't much into the little one following her around, but she had better get used to it :)
Poor Aylah! Such a busy day, she is sooo tired and wants to go home. The party started at 1 and my house wasn't empty until 7, lol. Luckily it was a lot of fun and there wasn't too much of a mess to clean up. We all had a wonderful time and it was really nice to have it a family shower rather than just the women. My next shower is going to be the same way. I'd rather include all the family together to celebrate having a baby!

Jerzie and Aunt Laurie

We had some dinner at Grandma's last Monday so Aunt Laurie and Jerzie played together for a bit while dinner was getting ready!

Jerzie figured out how to catch a ball so daddy is throwing it to her and she is catching it really well!
Yea!!! Caught it!!!
Now what me throw it back to him :)
Story time. Jerzie still loves books and mommy got a whole bunch for her from a friend at work so she and Aunt Laurie are testing them out!!

Father's Day

Daddy played three games of softball on Fathers Day and then we had my father and his wife over for a cook out in our backyard (that's where the pool pictures came from)
It was a really good time although it kept threatening to rain on us!

After dinner, Grandma suggested having marshmellows on the grill since it was still warm, so Jerzie, her daddy and I all made Smores while Grandpa and Grandma had melted marshmallows!!
What a great idea!
We had a wonderful time and it was a great day!

NEW POOL...

Jerzie got a new pool and we finally had a nice day when we weren't busy with other things to enjoy it!!
Here she is testing the water to make sure mommy made it warm enough :)
Yeah!! Its all good :)
We tried the slide once and weren't to into it but it was fun to make the fishies and the turtles go down it!
Riding the sides like a jet ski :)
Wrestling the dolphin!
She had a great time and she loved the pool which is a better experience than I has last year with our old pool!! I am so glad she likes it, its so nice to have something for her to do outside other than play with the dog or a ball!

The Zoo

Last Saturday, Daddy got out of work early so he took us to the zoo for a couple hours in Erie. It was so much fun. Jerzie went once before when she was just a month or two old so she doesn't remember it too well, but she does this time!!
She didn't warm up to some of the animals even though this guy was just a baby, I think she was a little scared because he had the face of an old man!
She really liked the leopards though!! She watched them pace back and forth, back and forth, the poor babies were so hot!
OOOHHH!!! Look, I am almost as tall as the giraffes, ha ha ha... There was a daddy and a baby giraffe and a daddy and baby Smith, how cool!!!
Jerzie's Favorite!! She hasn't stopped talking about them since :) "MONNNKKIIIEEESSS" She has a way of pronounciating every syllable of the word...
It was a great first experience for her and I think it will be quite a while before she forgets! She rode a choo choo and walked through a path with Kangaroos jumping across the path and went into a cage with birdies flying at us....so many memories :)

Grandpa's Day

We went Roswell out in Buffalo yesterday afternoon to visit Jerzie's Papa for his "60th birthday"
We weren't allowed to bring alot into his room to keep it nice and sterile so I only took a few pictures of Jerzie in the waiting area.

She was very happy to see her papa! As soon as we got out of the truck all she would say was "papa? papa?"
She was a little shy and quiet for a while when we first went into his room. She doesn't like hospital beds and poor papa couldn't have his teeth in while he was getting the procedure done, so he looked a little strange to her, I'm sure.

She warmed up eventually though and took it upon herself to eat some of his cake that the nurses brought up to him and also to "clean" up his room with a tissue!
When we went into the waiting room again to change and feed her, she walked and and put her hands up and said "where's papa?" It was really cute! She wouldn't eat very well b/c she just wanted to go back into where papa was.

All in all we had a pretty good trip, traffic wasn't bad and Jerzie was pretty well behaved.

We will probably be going back out a few more times since he will be out there for a while. If you want to check out his progress or his blog, click on the link in the right hand column on "Butch's Blog".

Thanks!!

Bubbles....

First we want to wish Jerzie's Grandpa a very Happy Birthday! If you would like to leave him a birthday message just click on my "Butch's Battle" link on the right.
Jerzie LOVES bubbles so mommy decided she needed to take a bubble bath!! I coaxed her into it and she was so excited till....

I put her in the tub :( She did not like it at all!!!!
Mommy had to scoop as much of the bubbles out of the tub as she could get!
We just learned that laying down in the bathtub isn't so bad after all and we can pretend we are swimming by kicking our feet!! (notice the bubbles are still present, hee hee hee)
Jerzie is learning to wash herself too! She is very independant so we like to show her how to do things for herself!
All done!!!! Now we can wrap up in the "froggy!" Jerzie calls her favorite bath towel "froggy" because it looks like a frog :)

Mess!!!!

For the first time ever, Jerzie finally did what other kids do and emptied her whole toybox onto the floor!!!

I don't know if she was looking for something in particular or if she just wanted to see the bottom of her toybox :)
The funny thing is she had herself stuck by the time she got done! Daddy had to help her get out of the trap she got herself into!!
OOOOH, there is my car!!! I knew it was in here somewhere!
Whoohoo...I made it out alive :)
All cleaned up and organized. Jerzie was a very big helper at putting everything back!! She is pretty good about cleaning up her messes, almost better than Mommy and Daddy! Too bad, she was back at it the next day, lol!!

CHRISTMAS IN JUNE...LOL

Jerzie got a late Christmas present. Unfortunatley we have such a huge family that we don't get to see all of them all the time. My maternal grandmother has at least 90 great grand children and she purchased gifts for all the kids. Jerzie and her four cousins, (my sisters' children) got theirs this month which made it kind of neat and special for the kids since they weren't expecting them!
She is being so delicate with the paper, its too cute.
She has opened presents since she was about 5 months old at her first Christmas. Of course last Christmas was a little too much for her...:)
Won't be long till there isn't enough to open, lol!!
Yeah!!! New books!! Mommy especially loves this present because she gets tired of always reading the same ones all the time!!
She got two new books and one of them matches one of her favorites. 1...2...3 is one of her favorites now and she recieved a new one in the series called A...B...C. She also recieved another really cute one with it.
Thanks so much Grandma!! We love you and appreciate the gifts!!

I have been Tagged!

Laurie and Chris have tagged me to do a meme! The rules of the game get posted at the beginning. Each player answers the questions about themselves. At the end of the post, the player then tags 4 people and posts their names, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment, letting them know they’ve been tagged and asking them to read your blog. Let the person who tagged you know when you’ve posted your answers.

a) What was I doing 10 years ago? Graduating from high school and finding my first REAL job, lol

b) What are 5 things on my to-do list for today: Get Jerzie and myself ready for work, go to work, go to Jeans, eat, and get groceries!

c) Snacks I enjoy: Chicken wing dip, spinach dip, smores, lol

d) Things I would do if I were a billionaire: Travel, spoil my husband and daughter and our families :)

e) Places I have lived: Jamestown and Frewsburg

I'm tagging? No one because everyone I know on here has been tagged by the person who tagged me and the person who tagged me, lol!!!

PigRoast!!!

We went to a family pigroast at my sister Randi's house. We had a lot of fun hanging around with a few of the family members. Jerzie only had interest in one particular member...

This is her telling me that she wants to hold the "baby" and she is all ready to go in the chair!
Now she is holding Xavier, "her baby"...Everytime I tried to take him, she would cry and say "NO!! My Baby!!!"
More following around that poor baby....
Now its Xaviers bothers turn...She is showing him how the bubbles work, even though I think he already knows...lol
We ended the day with some baseball...Jerzie hit the ball pretty well!! I think she is going to be a ball player like daddy...

Sidewalk Chalk!!!

We went over to Chris and Laurie's House for a bar-b-que and Jerzie and Daddy played with some sidewalk chalk!!
I tried to get a closeup to show the drawing on her face, lol...
She moves to much and its too light to see but she colored her cheeks...
Don't eat it, it doesn't taste too well....
Look how pretty my jeans are, lol
Let me show you how to do it....
Awe how cute, drawing together....
What is daddy drawing for Jerzie?
Jerzie likes it whatever it is....
Time to clean them up and put them away so we can go get Jerzie all cleaned up!
