Gone Fishing!

Daddy has been talking Jerzie into going fishing when the weather gets warm enough. Sunday wasn't the best day but Jerzie has been as excited as daddy so we decided to take her out. Grandpa used to say the fish would bite better after the rain so we had hoped they would be biting.

We went and got Jerzie her own Barbie fishing pole at Walmart and daddy hooked it all up for her.

She refused to touch the worms so daddy had too!
It was cold and rainy but Jerzie seemed to enjoy herself quite well.

Payton and I enjoyed sitting in the truck and staying warm!

This is the "ship" they fished off from down at the boat landing. Jerzie thinks it is a ship!

Still enjoying herself!

Daddy kept trying but it seems nothing wanted to bite today. Must be they weren't hungry?

It doesn't matter they weren't biting it was so much fun to see Jerzie enjoying herself with something her and daddy could enjoy together!

Hopefully it warms up soon so they can start going all the time! I know they are both looking forward to getting out and enjoying some peaceful time together!

Signs of Spring!

Yesterday wasn't the warmest day but it was quite nice (40's, lol) for what we are in store for so we all took a little trip outside to play for an hour or so! Everyone enjoyed it, Jerzie the most, but even Payton and Princess got a little sun and were quiet for the time being :) Hopefully it gets nice soon, I don't know how much longer I can be trapped in the house...lol!

Spring Cleaning!

Last fall I was too tired to do the necessary yard work before the snow fell so I had a mess in the backyard to get cleaned up! Both kiddies went to daycare on Friday so I took advantage of the free time and cleaned my yard!
There were 7 bags of leaves and branches!

I hope that the grass will come back now that its all cleaned up!

Now my Jerzie girl can play on her play ground if it ever warms up again!

Jerzie's Juice

I was startled awake this morning to my Jerzie yelling:
"mommy"
"Mommy"
"MOMMY!"
I jumped out of bed and ran to the kitchen because I could tell this is where she was yelling from and this is what I saw! (above)
Jerzie was thirsty so she went and got her stool out of her bedroom and put it at the counter and went and got her juice out of the refridgerator and grabbed a cup lid out of the drawer.
Can you guess what she was yelling for?
She wanted her cup! Her stool was not high enough for her to reach into the cupboard to get a cup out so she needed help!
Thank goodness for small miracles or I would have woken to quite a mess as her juice container lid needs twisted in order to pour it out and it probably would have been all over my floor and my daughter had she had her way!
The picture is not the greatest as all I could find near me to take a picture was my phone and there weren't any lights on yet and it was still pretty dark outside :)

St Patricks Day Parade

We all went to the parade on Saturday, but we completely missed the whole thing, lol.
Luckily we made it just in time for the river to be turned green!
This is about the normal color for the river...
And this is when it was starting to change colors...
It turned really bright green!
Jerzie liked it a lot! It was pretty cool. The first time I had ever seen it happen. Daddy liked it too!

Play Date!

Jerzie's cousin Clarissa came over yesterday to play with her. She was supposed to come last Tuesday but poor Jerzie was in the ER getting fluids from an IV due to the nasty stomach flu!
Jerzie was pretty reluctant to share her toys at first and they fought a little bit but they eventually warmed right up to each other.
Clarissa loved Payton too! She kept saying how small her fingers and toes were and how cute Jerzie's sissy was. Clarissa's mommy relieved me for a while cuddling the lil stink bug.
Jerzie and Clarissa played with everything in our house! They even colored and made a mess on my kitchen floor with confetti! It was all in good fun though.

It is so great to have a relative right around the same age as Jerzie so they can grow up together and hit the same stages of life together too!
We had a great day and hope to do it again soon but next time I think it will be at Clarissa's house :)
