New Bed!!

Jerzie Shea got her new bed and she loves it!!!!

As you can see she is wearing her Tinkerbell PJ's to match her Tinkerbell comforter and pillow...
She looks sooooo tiny in there, but it is really comfy! I wish I had a new bed too....maybe I do if she can't sleep, lol....
We weren't sure if she really enjoyed it all that much at first because she was really reluctant to check it out. When she first walked into her room, she looked at the crib before noticing her new bed.
But daddy climbed into the bed and that really made her want to climb in too...along with a few toys :)
I think she is really going to enjoy being a big sister if she gets all this new neat stuff along with a new baby to share attention with :)

Funday Sunday....

Kim, Jerzie and I spent all day Sunday getting things ready for the new baby. Jerzie and the new one will be sharing a room until we get a new house so we needed to make room for another bed among all of Jerzie's things...
Daddy bought a "pet net" so we could get all of Jerzie's stuffed animals off the floor. She doesn't play with most of them but daddy, I mean Jerzie, can't part with them....
We put a bookcase in and attached it to the wall so we could move all of Jerzie's books out of the armour in mommy and daddy's room into her room. That way we could put the baby's stuff in the armour until it goes into Jerzie's room.

Jerzie is enjoying the last night in her "baby" bed. Tomorrow she is getting a new "big" girl bed and giving her baby bed to the new baby. Its really sad that my little girl is growing up so fast! She seems really excited about it though!

Jerzie and I placed the new things we have rec'd for the baby in the armour. We still need to bring down all of Jerzie's newborn things from the attic but we figured we would start here and get this stuff placed first. She was a little reluctant to put the bibs and hats away for the baby but we showed her where they would stay and that she can see them whenever she wants too and she finally let go :)
Goodbye Baby Jerzie Shea and Hello Big Sister Jerzie Shea!

Guess the Delivery Date....

We are counting down the days until the arrival of our new little one so we thought it would be fun to see if someone can guess the due date. Go to this site and cast your vote, and leave a comment about the date you choose if you want us to know :)

Blizzard of 1977

I got an email with these pictures of the blizzard of 77 and thought I would share since we have been so buried in snow lately too :)

The snow was so high, you could touch the traffic lights.

A front-end loader is trying to clear Furhmann Boulevard. You can barely see the buried car.

Volunteer firemen are clearing off the roof of a house in Depew, NY. Talk about buried in snow.

Let's see . .. . first, I gotta find my car. Then I gotta dig it out. Then I gotta figure out how I'm gonna get it home.

These trucks are dumping the snow right back into Lake Erie, where it came from. It's the Hydrological Cycle in action.

This is a C-130 bringing in badly needed men and equipment. The TV crew is standing on snow as high as the roofs of cars.

Buffalo wasn't the only place hit by the storm - this was in Watertown, NY.Jefferson County had snowdrifts that were 'only' 18 feet high.

Red Cross volunteers are looking for people trapped in vehicles.Nine people were found frozen to death in their cars, and 29 people died as a result of the storm . . .

'Honey, you're going the wrong way.''And just how am I supposed to turn around???'

The snow is as high as the gutters on the house behind these folks, and the guy in front is about six feet off of the ground.

I'm just taking the dog for a walk - going woof to woof.

Snowbanks on the sides of the road in Hamburg, NY - that's 10 feet of snow you're looking at.

It's a good thing schools were closed, because the school buses were buried.

There's not much snow here - you can still see the stop sign.

Cars were trapped in the tunnel under the Buffalo Airport, by Aero Drive and Amherst Villa Road. There was crazy amounts of snow everywhere.

We finally got the driveway plowed.

Buffalo still holds the record (199 inches during the winter of 1976-1977!) for the snowiest city in the country, and was the first city ever in the USA to be declared a Federal Disaster Area due to snow.Ironically, during the four days of the Blizzard, only 12 inches of new snow fell - the rest of it was blown off of the frozen surface of Lake Erie.Sure, we have to deal with some snow every year, cold weather, and the occasional blizzard, but we rarely see earthquakes, tornadoes, hurricanes, or other natural disasterswhich cause a lot more destruction, loss of property, and loss of lives. We are very lucky to live in Buffalo, NY - the City of Good Neighbors. We also have beautiful summers, and all four seasons, unlike a lot of other places. So, as Mark Twain once said, 'If you don't like the weather in Buffalo, wait five minutes . . . it'll change.'

I love New York!

I have been tagged!!!

Here's the "rules" for all to follow: Open a document or photo folder and choose the fifth folder and then the fifth photo in that folder. Next, post the photo with a description about it and then tag 5 friends to do the same.
I had to do this a little different. I just dumped all the pics off my computer before Christmas so I didn't have five folders in my pictures, lol. I just picked the 5th picture, and guess what? It was this one. Imagine that, Jerzie Shea!
This was taken by Chris and Laurie, the ones who tagged me to do this, for our Christmas cards this year. It is one of my absolute favorites.
I don't have anyone to tag, so feel free to do this if you want to!

Bath Soaps

Grandma got Jerzie some bath soaps for Christmas so that she can draw all over herself in the bathtub!! And they also smell really good too.She wasn't too impressed with drawing on herself so daddy did it for her and she didn't like that either so she decided to draw on the bathtub and all her toys.
It doesn't work well on the bathtub but she figured it out.
Now she is more into playing with the lids to them rather than the soap itself. She makes a mess in the bathroom throwing water all over with the caps.
She also has a new washcloth that Santa brought her that started out as a tiny little sponge and once it got wet it expanded into a neat washcloth.
She enjoys the soaps very much and so does mommy and daddy because now she doesn't need to play with the real soap as she is always begging to do!

More Chuck E Cheese

We went to Chuck E Cheese and had a lot of fun so I figured I would show some more of the stuff we did while we were there beside air hockey...
This is the shirt Jerzie picked out with her earnings from playing all the games and getting all the tickets she could find.

Yummy, chocolate!!! Great choice for cupcakes aunt Rachel!!!

Playing on the playland!!!!

Bowling...mommy and daddy really enjoyed this too!! We want one for our basement!
Jerzie was not very impressed with us when it was time to go. She had been looking forward to it for so long. This picture is actually when we got there but I couldn't show any pictures of the bad scene she made when it was time to go. I would be quite embarassed, lol.

One More Month.....

We have one more month till the baby is due. Jerzie seems to be quite clingy lately and I can't say that I don't enjoy every minute of it because she is never so lovey!
She is now, very in to lifting my shirt to feel the baby move. She will lift every layer of my clothes to feel it even if its not moving.
I can't wait to see how much she really loves being a big sister! I don't know if I am ready for the comments of her asking me if there is a baby in there when there isn't anymore even though I am still fat, lol.

Air Hockey

We went to Chuck E Cheese and Jerzie and daddy were playing air hockey together and I just happened to capture it on video. It is really cute at the end. She did a great job since she could just barely see over the edge of the table. Looks like we may need to make another addition to the basement, lol..
